Peaches are to the Sandhills what apples are to Henderson County, and no other peach farm is as much an institution as Auman Orchard. It first flourished under the care of Clyde Auman, whose father started a small orchard in West End in the early 1900s. Clyde and his brothers expanded the orchards greatly, becoming some of the largest landowners in Moore County.
"Peach grower Jan Williams figures to make some hay at Kalawi Farms and Ben’s Homemade Peach Ice Cream stand near Eagle Springs, 14 miles from the center of the golf universe. Williams sits in the shade next to an electric fan, keeping watch on her 1-year-old grandson, Wade, as he bobs back and forth – a peach in his lap – in a plastic swing suspended from a roof beam in the open-air farmstand." - Greensboro News & Record

".. Teague's Frogtown Pottery is our favorite out of about 100 potteries along the trail. Not only do they have beautiful pottery pieces, but they are very friendly, and enjoy the company of visitors and their questions about the pottery making process. We spent about 45 minutes there and got to see the kilns, the wheel, and their entire facility. Which is what hand made pottery is all about. No mass production used here" -- Trip Advisor
